Should kids have cellphones?

Last Christmas my sisters and I got cellphones from are perants as a gift That was the the worst idea my perants had ever had.

Because of my older sister samantha loved to talk .That after three bills of Samantha's are cellphones where gone.But my point is should kids have cellphones ?Most kids have cellphones and how Meany kids overuse there cellphones .I think over 50%of kids of have cellphones they over use.Most researchers have said that a person shouldn't be on a cellphone for more than an hour.But think about all the teenagers that only use there cellphones to talk to there friends and they talk for hours.

So ask your self this question should kids have cellphones or will they over use it ?Think about this and tell me your opinion on this.

    IM NOT ALLOWED TO SO NO! because im not so no other kid should... its to mean ... people tease you for it and you get teased for the rest of your life (what I think) but this is not entirely true!

    I think it would be cool to have a cell phone, but I dont think its the best idia. Lots of kids only like to talk to there friends, but what if the next day there battery ran out and there was a enmergency? i dont like the idia of kids having cell phones!

    NO WAY! I barly evan talf on the phone, and I wont really nead or get one until grade 9. So I wouldent over use mine. By the way, I like your blog! :)

    i think it all depends on what they need it for.
    If a kid just whant a cell phone to text there friends and call them on a normal bases then they should what till they are older because you dont NEED one they just WANT one, aand it cost money.
    Then again if a child is going to summer camp or visting a relitive or friend for a while or something, beacause then they need to contact a parent incase something happens out of the ordanairy. Then they have a phone with them at all times.

    ya but most of the time kids text. and its good as kids can call if they need to get picked up or some thing and its a esay way to talk to your friends. but your right you should only be on it a couple of times a day.

    Well of couse Kids should cuz they are in modern day history people don't just yell there heads off to talk to them and what if somthing important happens what are they going to do run for help good luck with that

    Ya i think kids should have cellphones because they're mom and dad may need them but they can't contact them because they don't have a cellphone so I do think kids should have cellphones! Not just to talk with our friends! :D

    I think kids should have cell phones because if they need some thing or to get picked up thats what they can do.
